Archery is one of our most traditional camp activities and remains a student favorite. Our ranges feature large targets and clearly defined firing lines as well as safe supervision and instruction.
What’s Covered
Learn about the history and mechanics of archery, one of the oldest arts and means for survival. Students are introduced to the basic physics of a bow and arrow, as well as the proper handling of this ancient device. Armed with this knowledge, they participate in target shooting.
Lessons & Activities
Starting with safety, then moving on to stance, aiming and ending with directions and commands for collecting arrows the activity moves quickly to allow maximum time shooting arrows.

Thought it does not meet any set NGSS standards, this course focuses on several other areas, including:
