ALL SIGNS POINT TO CAMPING

It’s getting warmer outside and that means it’s time to go outside and play. Lucky for you, this month just happens to be National Camping Month, so there’s no better excuse to get into the great outdoors and take in the open skies and fresh air.

The sun’s up, the birds are singing, and the mosquitoes are finally hatching from their larval phase. Ok, it isn’t all rainbows and fresh fish, but since June is Camping Month, it’s a great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Research shows that people who spend time camping are happier, more relaxed, and tend to buy more bug repellent.

How do I take part in Camping Month? Easy, I GO CAMPING!

Who doesn’t love sitting under the stars, roasting marshmallows and making S’mores, or waking up to the smell of wood smoke and bacon? Even if it’s just a pop-up tent and sleeping bag in your backyard under the stars, get out there and reconnect with the great outdoors.

Our outdoor-education students learn the ten essentials for any outdoor trip in our Outdoor Skills class. While in the forest, they band together as a team to build emergency shelters, build fires, cook food in an outdoor setting and much more.
